Sirasa Christmas Zone lights up lives for a second day

Large crowds gathered to the premises of the Head Office of MTV/MBC on Braybrooke Place in Colombo 2 on Sunday, the second day of the Sirasa Christmas Zone.

The Christmas Zone was declared open today by the Right Reverend Dhiloraj Canagasabey, the Bishop of Colombo in the Church of Ceylon.

The Sirasa Christmas Zone featured the sounds of the celebrated Sri Lanka Navy band today. The Christmas Zone also features a portrayal of a nativity.

The Duwa Traditional Arts and Drama Foundation from Negombo, is also performing at the Christmas Zone. A special area has been allocated for children visiting the Christmas Zone, featuring art competitions, games and talent shows.

The Christmas Zone also features sound tests for the Samanala Sirasa programme on Sirasa FM and a card collection point for the Sirasa FM Hathara Maha Nidhanaya promotion campaign.

The Christmas Tree, carols and Santa Claus are also being featured at the Sirasa Christmas Zone.
