Love Life – a programme to eradicate HIV/AIDs held in Colombo

Another phase of the Love Life programme to eradicate HIV/AIDs in the country was held in Colombo on Sunday.

A march and a bicycle ride commenced from opposite the Town Hall in Colombo on Sunday morning under the program which is organised in a bid to raise awareness and eradicate HIV/AIDS.

Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and a number of high level officials of the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited graced the event.

The bicycle ride commenced from the Town Hall in Colombo and proceeded towards the Independence Square and concluded at the open air amphitheatre of the Vihara Mahadevi Park.

A centre to carry out blood tests was also established at the Vihara Mahadevi Park while a programme to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS was held at the location.

Meanwhile, as a another phase of the ‘Love Life’ programme, a musical show was held at the Galle Face Grounds on Saturday evening.

The highlight of the evening was the performance of renowned Indian Singer Karthik.
