Neutrality Day of Turkmenistan is the second most important state holiday in Turkmenistan and is celebrated on Saturday.

Neutrality Day of Turkmenistan is the second most important state holiday in Turkmenistan. This date is celebrated in Turkmenistan annually on December 12. Saturday marks, 20 years since the UN General Assembly  Resolution which expressed the hope that “the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan will contribute to peace and security in the region.”

In the resolution, the United Nations “recognises and supports the declared status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan .” Such a unique document was adopted for the first time in the work of the international community of nations.

A high level international conference titled Policy of neutrality, international cooperation for peace security and development has been organised  in Ashgabat commencing Saturday. Several heads of states are due in the capital tomorrow.

Hundreds of volunteers have been deployed by the Turkmenistan government, for tomorrow’s international conference.

Turkministan Independence monument: The ancestors as deemed fought for the country’s independence and peace. However, if Turkmans are really enjoying their full liberties, as rich as their hospitality is,  something that is yet to be witnessed in reality.
