The 200 devotees who were stranded while on their pilgrimage to Dambadiva, owing to the floods in Chennai, are expected to return to the country on Sunday, December 06
Deputy Head Ven. Kalawane Mahanama, of the Chennai Maha Bodhi Centre, stated that the devotees traveled by bus to Trichy.
However, he added that another group of devotees are still stranded at the Sri Lanka Maha Bodhi Centre in Chennai.
SriLankan Airlines, Public Relations Manager, Deepal Perera stated that the two planes will set off to Trichy and Buddhagaya to retrieve the devotees on Sunday, December 06.
