Karunarathna Paranawithana was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, before President Maithripala Sirisena on Friday December 4.

The President’s Media Division stated that Paranavithana was sworn in at the President’s Office located at the Parliamentary Complex.

Karunarathna Paranawithana previously held the portfolio of Deputy minster of Local Government and Provincial Councils.

President’s Secretary P.B. Abeykoon was also present at the swearing in ceremony.
