The JVP praised the President for making an appearance in Parliament today.

JVP MP, Sunil Handunnetti stated:

We did not have this experience over the years and when the expenditure heads of the president is being delivered. The president has arrived and commented on it and that needs to be appreciated.  I consider this as a victory. Where earlier, the Executive Presidency was unreachable, before the 8th of January, is now being vested with the parliament.
