President Maithripala Sirisena said that he will not do anything that will jeopardise national security.

He made this statement when he met with Sri Lankan migrants in Paris on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Conference on Climate Change will commence in Paris on Monday with the participation of a large number of world leaders.

Speaking to us from France, News 1st Correspondent Roshan Watawala noted that the COP21 summit will take place in France at 11 a.m. Monday, France time, and Sri Lankan time 3:30 p.m.

French President Francois Hollande will address the summit.
