A woman and a girl have been reported missing after being caught to the overflowing current which occurred with the incessant rains in Godeywatta, Baduraliya.

According to our correspondent, the two individuals met with this fate after crossing a farm-field along the Baduraliya Hospital Mawatha.

A 50-year-old woman and a seven-year-old girl have thus gone missing. Meanwhile, police stated that search operations have commenced to locate them.
