Landslide warnings have been issued to four districts as a result of the inclement weather condition. Moneragala, Kegalle, Kalutara and Ratnapura are the four districts under risk.

The Disaster Management Centre notes that, as a result of the heavy showers in these districts, the general public should be vigilant on the possibility of landslide and cut slope failures.

Assistant Director at the DMC Pradeep Kodippilli stated that spill gates of several reservoirs have been opened due to heavy showers.
