The government has decided to pay an extra loan of Rs. 3500 to tea pluckers in view of the upcoming Deepawali Festival.

The current fee they earn is Rs. 6500.

On a notice listed by the Ministry of Plantation Industries, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that the amount needed will be given to the plantation companies.
