Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha thero was admitted to a hospital in Singapore on Wednesday morning for further treatment.

A spokesperson at the Naaga Viharaya in Kotte said that the thero will undergo a number of medical tests in Singapore.

Maduluwawe Sobitha thero was receiving treatment at a private hospital during the past few days.
