Football giants Real Madrid and PSG ended their encounter in group A goalless on Wednesday, October 21.

It was Real Madrid’s first time since 2008, where they failed to score in the group stages.The two sides picked up the maximum points in their first two fixtures but ended up cancelling each other out.

Christiano Ronaldo had a close chance in the second half when he shot just wide of the far post leaving the two sides level on 7 in group A

Group A also saw Swedish side Malmo picked up their first win against Ukrainians Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0. Malmo scored their first goal of the tournement this season when Markus Rosenberg sidefooted decisive strike hit the net. Malmo currently stands thrid in the group while Shakthar are bottom with none.

In group C, Atletico Madrid claimed a 4-0 win over Kazakhstan’s FC Astana.
