The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has identified three high-risks zones for Dengue as a result of the prevailing weather condition.

Chief Medical Officer of the CMC, Dr. Ruwan Wijeymuni said that Borella, Kurunduwatta and Dematagoda have been identified as high-risks zones for Dengue.

The Ministry of Health revealed that a total number of 21,607 individuals suspected to be Dengue patients, have been reported during the course of this year. The Epidemiology Unit said that about 51.02 percent of the Dengue patients were reported from the Western Province.
