The Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption, and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges states that it has rejected the objections of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The Secretary of the Commission, Lasil de Silva said that thereby the mandate of the Commission will continue.
The hearing of evidence of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and others will be recorded on Friday morning.
The investigation over alleged non-payment of money due to a state television network, for propaganda broadcast of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa in the run up to the presidential election, was taken up on Thursday.
