The Sri Lanka Navy said that the nine Indian fishermen who were arrested for allegedly violating the International Maritime Boundary Lines of Sri Lanka have been handed over to the Kankesanthurai Fisheries Department.
Navy Spokesperson, Commander Indika de Silva stated the navy assisted the Coast Guard to arrest the nine fishermen in a fishing trawler found in waters northeast of Point Pedro on Wednesday morning.
