Colombo High Court Judge Devika Livera de Tennakoon, on Thursday, October 15, acquitted Danuna Thilakaratne in the Hicorp Case

Earlier the Attorney General filed a case against Danuna Thilakaratne, Sarath Fonseka and Wellington De Hoedt for providing false documents to the Ministry of Defence, and appearing as the Sri Lankan Agent for British Borneo which supplies Military Hardware to the Ministry and obtaining a tender from the military.

Since the inception of the case Danuna Thilakaratne had been absconding court for a period of five years.

Sarath Fonseka was acquitted of the charges brought against him in the Hicorp fraud case after his lawyers proved that the charges had been brought against him in the Court Martial.
