CNN has partnered up with Social-Media Giant Facebook to live stream the presidential debate with millions expected to tune in following its record shattering republican debate last month.
CNN hopes to continue its momentum while providing free online streaming on it website and mobile apps.
The partnership being a milestone in itself, is not the only head-turner with CNN taking the debate to the realms of virtual reality.
According to the Atalanta-Based television news network the debate will live-stream from the October 13 debate from Las Vegas in full 3D immersive virtual reality through a partnership between NextVR,a virtual-reality company that broadcasts sporting events in virtual reality via Samsung’s Gear VR headset.
With leading democratic candidates Clinton and Sanders sparring from the the get-go, the debate was watched around the world by many but the next-gen virtual reality telecast was only an option to a very few and user reviews stating that the the virtual reality technology, though mind-blowingly impressive was not the most user friendly, The head gears weight, the resolution of the virtual stream were under scrutiny but the potential of the technology was commonly acknowledged.
