The CID revealed on Monday October 5 that the elder brother of Dunesh Priyashantha, a.k.a. “Kondaya” had admitted to the murder of little Seya Sadewmi in Kotadeniyawa.
The revelation was made when the two brothers were arrested over the murder and produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s Court.
A look back into the incident’s which transpired since Seya was reported missing;
- 10th of September : Seya Sedewmi who was asleep at her home, reported missing
- 13th of September : Body of Seya Sedewmi who was murdered found 200m away from her house
- 18th of September : A 17 year old school student and a 35 year old inidvidual arrested inconnection with the murder
- 19th of September : The two suspects who were arrested, remanded.
- 23rd of September : Dunesh Priyashantha alias Kondaya arrested inconnection with the murder of Seya Sedewmi
- 1st of October : The 17 year old school student and 35 year old individual, arrested inconnection with the murder of Seya Sedewmi, aquitted.
- 2nd of October : The brother of ” Kondaya” arrested inconnection with the murder of Seya Sedewmi
