Another cultural centre that was constructed through the decentralised funds of Former MP and General Secretary of the Citizens’ Front J. Sri Ranga, was declared open on Tuesday. The cultural centre was constructed at the premises of the Sri Siththivinayagar Kovil in Kandapola, Nuwara Eliya at a cost of Rs.9 million.
Former MP J.Sri Ranga was commended by the estate community for providing them with a cultural centre. The building will facilitate weddings and cultural performances, and will accommodate over 1000 persons.
