The Colombo Municipal Council states that nearly 1000 houses have been identified as being conducive to mosquito breeding. The discovery was made following search operations conducted in the City of Colombo in line with the National Dengue Eradication Programme.
Chief Medical Officer of the CMC, Ruwan Wijayamuni said that steps have been taken to initiate legal action against 100 house owners with premises containing mosquito larvae.
