A statement is scheduled to be made on Monday September 14, by Sri Lanka at the inaugural day of the United Nations Human Rights Council’s three-week-long session.
According to foreign media the statement is expected to throw light on how the Sri Lankan government will proceed further on issues of accountability and reconciliation.
On September 30, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Investigation on Sri Lanka will present a report on alleged violations of human rights during the 30=year long conflict
