The Health Ministry is implementing a programme to identify mosquito breeding grounds with red notices.
Medical Director of the Dengue Eradication unit, Hasitha Tissera stated that this programme is underway in line with the Dengue Eradication Week.
Accordingly, he said that 7500 red notices have been handed out thus far. One thousand seven hundred (1700) cases have been filed during the course of the Dengue Eradication Week which commenced on September 10.
He added that 52,000 mosquito breeding grounds have been identified. 20,000 patients diagnosed with Dengue have been reported in the past year.
