The first flag to mark Prisoners’ Day was pinned on President Maithripala Sirisena on Saturday September 12.

The flag which is annually presented by the Prisoners Welfare Association was presented to the President at the President’s official residence in Colombo.

Advisers of the Association and the Commissioner General of Prisons were present for the event.
