Common enemy brought us together: CBK tells The Hindu newspaper

Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has for the first time disclosed her role in President Maithripala Sirisena’s win in the presidential election.

Former President Bandaranaike made these revelations during a select media interaction in New Delhi to The Hindu newspaper on Saturday September 5.

The former president made this statement to The Hindu newspaper while on a tour to India as the representative of the Sri Lankan government to attend the Hindu-Buddhist Conclave held in Bodh Gaya.

Question : Is there any truth to the story India provided communication devices, DRDO made satellite phones?

Replying to the question raised above during the interview the Former President said that its completely false, and they were using viber.

The former president also said that the government didn’t know how to tap Viber, adding that apparently it is difficult for any intelligence agency anywhere to tap into Viber, although some can identify  who is calling whom.

Speaking further she said that the common enemy brought them together.
