Uefa Champions cup defenders, Barcelona was thrown in to favourable draw for the Champions league this year.
In group A, Real Madrid was slotted in the same group as Laurent Blanc’s boys from Paris-Saint-Germain and FC Shakhtar Donetsk as well as Malmo FF.
In group B,Manchester United re-enter the league after year-long absence against the Netherland’s PSV Eindhoven, Russia’s CSKA Moscow and Bundasliga side, Wolfsburg.
Group C consist of Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray,Astana.
Group D will see the likes of Europes highest ranking leagues with last years runners-up Juventus, Manchester City,Sevilla and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Luis Enrique’s boys will take on Bayer Leverkusen,AS Roma and BATE Borisov in group E
Last season’s Bundasliga champs Bayern Munich will take on FA cup holders, Arsenal along with Greek-side Olympiakos Piraeus and Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb in group F
Chelsea will face Coach Jose Mourinho’s former side Porto along with Dynamo Kiev and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Group G
Group H will see Russian side Zenit St Petersburg, along with Valencia,Olympique Lyonnais,Ghent.
The eight groups begin six rounds of play on September 15.
