While making a statement addressing an event at the BMICH on Friday, President Maithripala Sirisena emphasised on the importance of a national policy for the construction industry
President Maithripala Sirisena declared open the Construction Expo 2015 this morning. The event was organised on the 15th anniversary of the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka.
The president visited the stalls at the exhibition and engaged in a cordial discussions with those in the construction sector. He went on to state that we need to move forward in the competitive world together with the international knowledge acquired in the construction sector. And as a country we need to have a national plan for the construction sector.
I accept that there is a need for a national policy to be formulated for this sector and that needs to be primarily done together with the public and private sectors.
