Three new ministers were sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena a short while ago.
According to the Presidential Media Division, Mangala Samaraweera has been appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe has been appointed as the minister of Justice while D.M. Swaminathan took oaths as the Minister of Resettlement and Rehabilitation.
Meanwhile Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair who is in Sri Lanka on a private visit met with President Maithripala earlier this evening. According to the Presidential Media Unit the Former British Prime Minister praised the election process which concluded in a peaceful, free and fair manner.
He also had assured the President that he will stand before the country to clear the misconceptions of Sri Lanka among the international Community.
