Seven people have been killed after a Hawker Hunter jet pilot apparently lost control of his aircraft while performing a loop at Shoreham Airshow, crashing the plane onto a busy highway in West Sussex. Authorities say the victims died at the scene, while another person is critical in hospital.
Another fourteen people were treated for minor injures at the crash site. Prime Minister David Cameron sent his “heartfelt condolences” to the families of those who died in the crash.
Eyewitness Stephen Jones said: “The aeroplane involved is a Hawker Hunter T mark 7. And he’d just begun his flying display.
