The Department of Examinations has prohibited tuition classes being conducted for Grade Five Scholarship students, as of midnight on Wednesday August 19 until the completion of the examinations.

Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara said that the Grade Five Scholarship examination will be held on Sunday, August 23..

Accordingly, conducting tuition classes, seminars, or workshops in line with the Grade Five Scholarship Examination have been prohibited within the time period.

The Commissioner General of Examinations said that they have also prohibited the printing of sample examination papers, their distribution, and the advertising via posters, banners, leaflets or electric and print media that predicted questions for the examination will be provided.

The Commissioner General said that any complaint in relation to this matter can be lodged with the School Examinations Organisation and results branch by calling 0112 784 208 or 0112 784 537.

Additionally, complaints could also be lodged by calling the Department of Examinations hotline 1911 or even the Police Headquarters on 0112 421 111 or the Police Emergency Line 119.
