The University of Colombo School of Computing has stated that all the necessary actions have been taken to issue the election results as soon as they are available to all media networks.

Director Prof. Gihan Wickramanayake stated that as there are many parties, as well as independent groups, contesting on behalf of this election, more computer data operators have been appointed.

He also added that prior to the issue of the election results and after, all media networks will be informed through short message service (SMS).
