Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga participated at a public meeting organised by the Purawesi Balaya Organization  in Ahangama.

Speaking at the event,  Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga said that she requests the people to vote for persons who will not consider politics as a business which can be earned from.  The former president said:

We have to save our party and our country. But it is useless to save the party which exists at present.
