General Election 2015: Over 675 arrested over violations

With the general election four days away, the number of persons arrested for violating election laws has risen to 677. The Police Headquarters says that it has received 242 election-related complaints thus far, which resulted in the arrest of 542 persons.

Police added, it has received 294 complaints citing violation of election laws.  One hundred and thirty five (135) persons have been arrested by the police following raids conducted in response to complaints lodged.
