Following the exhumation of the remains of Wasim Thajudeen on the morning of Monday August 10, the matter continued to receive political responses.
Minister of Special Projects Felix Perera says that this matter was brought up at the last moment to sling mud on them.
Meanwhile, Minister of Sports Navin Dissanayake notes that if the Rajapaksa regime was in power, such a court order would not be even given.
However, Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekera says that if a verdict is given stating that it is murder, then it is left to the CID to nab the perpetrators.
He also said that there are certain suspicious aspects, and investigations of the CID were delayed because the Government Analyst’s report was delayed.
