The Think campaign which was launched in order to motivate voters to exercise their franchise to elect suitable persons for the legislature is entering its seventh day on Friday.
The initiative is jointly organised by Sirasa, Shakthi and News 1st together with the Campaign for Free and Fair Election.
The Think campaign was held in the Makandura and Kamburupitiya areas in the Matara District on Friday morning. The public showed great interest in signing the pledge to elect candidates who are law-abiding and corrupt-free.
Handbills and leaflets were distributed during the campaign to motivate voters to exercise their franchise to elect suitable persons for the legislature. This team is expected to reach Puhulwella on Friday evening.
The second Think campaign team which initiated their campaign from Jaffna reached the Bakamuna area in Polonnaruwa on Friday .
They engaged in creating awareness among the public about the proper use of voting rights by engaging the public to sign the pledge and also distributed leaflets. This team is to reach the Elahera and Kolahandeniya areas later today.
