An unidentified group of persons has stolen two police bikes used by two officers attached to the Seeduwa Police.

A high-ranking police officer serving in the area stated that the two police bikes had been stolen while the officers were on duty. According to police, when officers attempted to search a car under suspicious circumstances, the occupants of the vehicle had threatened the officers with a firearm, assaulted the officers and fled the scene on the two police motorbikes.

They added that the suspects fled the scene on the two police motorbikes leaving the car behind. The car has been taken into police custody.
