President Maithripala Sirisena is to depart to Maldives on a two-day official visit.

The President’s Media Unit said he has been invited as chief guest of the 50th National Independence Day ceremony of Maldives.

The President’s Media Unit added that President Maithripala Sirisena will hold discussions with the Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and other top delegates.
