Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon has announced that he will be stepping down from his ministerial portfolio.

Addressing a media briefing July 24 morning, Tennakoon noted that he had handed over his letter of resignation to the president.

He also noted that the main aim of his actions is to create an SLFP-led government.
