Liverpool have triggered the potential transfer of Christian Benteke.

The Reds have put up a bid meeting the 32.5 million pound release clause for the Aston Villa Striker. The 24-year-old Belgian scored 12 goals in 12 games in the 2014-15 season to help keep Villa in the Premier League.

Benteke joined Aston Villa in 2012 for 7 million pounds and has made 101 appearances with 49 goals under his belt.
