The Elections Secretariat says that printing of ballot papers ahead of the general election has commenced.
Additional elections commissioner M.M. Mohammed stated that 15,044,491 ballot papers will be printed annd issued separately to postal voters. He added that a seal will be placed on the ballot paper of those who are not among the living, after reports have been received on such cases.
The additional elections commissioner also said that a seal will be placed on the ballot papers of those who have migrated in order to minimise the irregularities that take place during the election. He said that those residing overseas could vote upon producing their passport at the poling station.
