A woman, her one year old child and another man committed suicide on Monday night by jumping in front of a train.

Police said that the incident occurred at around 9:00 on Monday night near the Bambalapitiya Government housing Complex. The train  was heading to Colombo Fort from Panadura.

The deceased were residents of the Lunawa Housing Complex in Moratuwa. The woman was aged 33 while the man 38 years of age. The Police Headquarters said that investigations have revealed that  the woman was having an affair with the said man.
