Two JVP members of the Puttalam District have been allegedly attacked by an unidentified group early Monday morning. The incident had taken place at around 1:30 on Monday morning in the Koduwawa area in Marawila.

It is stated that two members of the JVP and another party supporter had come under attack.

The group were attacked while returning from a party meeting. One of the victims who sustained serious injuries has been admitted to the Marawila Base Hospital. Further investigations into the incident are underway.
