Former MP Hemal Gunasekera noted that the responsibility of all during this election is to elect individuals who would render a service to their village and their area as well as persons who will undertake the task to build the village.

Former Chief Minister of the Uva Province, Shasheendra Rajapaksa noted that the group leader is Mahinda Rajapaksa and he will be elected as the Prime Minister of the new parliament in the future and all the stalled development projects in the area will recommence and there is hope to expedite this process as well.
Minister of Social Services and Welfare P. Harrison added that Mahinda Rajapaksa is 70 years old and in their villages, once a person reaches 70, they devote their time to engage in religious acts.
