An individual has died after falling off a bus on the Padukka main road in Ingiriya.

The victim is a 21-year-old resident of the Handapangoda area. According to our correspondent, the incident occurred when the victim fell off the footboard of the bus while he was on his way for an educational course at around 5:30 a.m. on July 2 close to the Kurang Ela bridge.

Police said the body of the victim has been placed at the Homagama Base Hospital.
