The Technical Laboratory of the Ussapitiya Rivisada Maha Vidyalaya in Kuliyapitiya was declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena on Thursday, July 2.

Speaking at the event, President Sirisena noted that he is prepared to over come any challenge on behalf of the people and the country.

The president added that the Government would take all required decisions to eradicate drugs. Speaking on drugs such as heroin, intoxicant pills and illegal liquor, he noted that among the public lives people who only value the rupee and the dollar and not the lives of the children.

He also said new rules and regulations are being formulated to eradicate drugs and that the Government will take every decision that is required to get rid of the drug menace for good.
