Minister Sajith Premadasa went on to ask his supporters not to lose faith in the president.
He added that there has been continuous phone calls since morning asking whether the president and the former President met with each other and inquire as to what they spoke about. He stated that President Maithripala must be trusted and that he is not person who forgets the past: and if he did, he would not have risen up to become the president of the country from the smallest and lowest level.
