State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene says that not a single army camp in the North and East have been removed.

The State Minister made this statement while addressing media briefing which was held subsequent to a discussion held at the Ministry of Defence.

The Minister further said that the ministry will not, at any cost, let a a banned terrorism organisation like the LTTE raise its head again. The minister said thus:

;We have not removed any camp. Talking about Sampu, I need to mention that it is a Navy camp. That is a camp that was relocated, from one place to another. It was not removed. We will never take any measure that will allow any organication to be a threat to the security and defence of the country.
