Two individuals were killed and two others injured in two accidents that occured in Punchi Borella. The incident occurred on the night of Saturday, June 20 when a three-wheeler crashed into a van, killing two passengers.

One person was also killed when a bus crashed into a three-wheeler in Punchi Borella on the morning of Sunday, June 21.

Police stated that the bus belonged to the Sri Lanka Travel and Transport Board and was meant to be used on the Southern Expressway. The bus driver has been taken into police custody.
