Speaking in Horana on Sunday, June 21, Parliamentarian Vidura Wickremenayake said the state mechanism to eradicate drugs from the country must be properly implemented.
The parliamentarian noted that as of recent there are small bottles of a beverage that can be found on sale close to schools, and when children consume this they get intoxicated.
Speaking further he added: ”Who has brought this? Cant this be found? Of course it can. Cannot drugs be wiped out? Yes they can. But somewhere in a corner there is a politician behind all of this. That is where things get difficult in this.”
The parliamentarian made this statement while declaring open a Sunday School building of the Sri Sunethrama Viharaya in Kahapitiya, Horana.
