At a time when special meetings of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) are presided over by the president, former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had convened with a number of provincial councilors at the Abhayarama in Narahenpita.
The group of provincial councilors had called on Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Abhayarama on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 16 and engaged in a discussion.
A group of local government politicians were also present.
Mahinda Rajapaksa also responded to questions posed by journalists prior to the discussion.
Responding to a question posed by a journalist as to why he was seen as a spectator during a rally which was organised for him in Matara, the Former President said that he is still a spectator.
