With the intermittent showers experienced over the country, the dreaded Dengue disease has begun to raise its head again.
In view of this situation, the Colombo Municipal Council says that a three-day Dengue Prevention Programme will be launched in the city of Colombo on Tuesday, June 16.
Chief Medical Officer of the CMC, Dr. Ruwan Wijemuni said that the programme will be carried out in eight areas which have been identified as high risk zones.
One thousand three hundred and twenty eight (1328) Dengue patients were recorded from the Colombo city during the first first six months of the year.
